Process consulting · New Mexico
Your workflow.Less busywork.More business.
I help businesses fix the processes they already run, connect the tools they already own, and use AI where the work calls for it.
- Someone needs something
It goes in one place, details attachedLogged - The right person picks it up
Nothing to re-ask or retypeAssigned - It gets done, and everyone knows
No follow-up, no chasingDone
Start with the process
The work gets done. It just takes more effort than it should.
Repeated entry, unclear handoffs, and manual workarounds are signs to look closer. Often, the first improvement can use systems you already have.
A weekly report takes someone half a morning.
A handoff works only when one person is around.
Your team has AI tools, but no clear place to use them.
Same request, two ways
Illustrative exampleWhen the process is scattered
- It lands in someone’s inbox
- The details get retyped somewhere else
- Someone has to chase the status
When the handoff is clear
- It starts in one place, details attached
- The owner has everything they need
- Everyone can see when it’s done
How I can help
A useful fix starts small and fits the way you work.
AI is one tool in the toolbox. I start with the process, then choose what makes the work easier to run and maintain.
Workflow review
I map how the work moves today, where it gets stuck, and what could improve. You get a plain-language write-up and a short, prioritized list of next steps.
Automation and AI builds
I connect systems you already use, automate repeat work, and add AI when it fits the task. Each build is scoped around the process and your team’s needs.
Team training
I help your people use and maintain the tools in their daily work, with clear instructions they can come back to.
Ongoing support
Set aside regular time for setup, tuning, and training. Larger builds get an hours estimate for you to approve before work starts.
Every engagement starts with how the work runs today.

About Curtis
I’ve owned this work, not just advised on it.
- 2006Inventory auditorPhysical audits and cycle counts at retail and warehouse locations
- 2009IT specialistSystems, networks and users across the company
- 2013 Frontline managementGuest services manager, then delivery supervisorMy first management roles: customer service, vendor claims, fleet
- 2016 Middle managementDirector of distribution servicesOversaw delivery, customer pickup and the repair shop
- 2017Store general managerA multimillion-dollar store P&L
- 2020 Executive teamDirector of digital revenueRan digital and all company technology, and brought AI into daily operations
I’m Curtis Wingenbach. I spent twenty years at one New Mexico retailer and worked seven jobs there, from counting inventory in 2006 to a seat on the executive team. I’ve run the delivery fleet, carried a store’s P&L, and been the person people call when the phones or the ERP go down.
What that work produced
- +47%Operating income in my first full year running a store, on 16% revenue growth
- Under 0.2%Inventory shrink in that store, against a 1 to 2% industry norm
- Next dayTo get a new product online, down from six to eight weeks
- 1,700+ hoursOf staff time handed back each year by automated reporting
I also wrote multiple custom connectors that give AI read-only access to the company’s ERP, phone system and delivery routing, with customer data redacted before anything leaves. I bring that same care to a client’s systems.
I’ve worked from the bottom up: lead, supervisor, frontline manager, middle management, executive team. At every level I saw the workarounds people build when a process or system doesn’t fit, and I built a few of my own. I know how a decision made at the top lands on the floor, and what the floor needs from the top to make it work. That’s where I start with every client: how the work actually gets done, not how software says it should. Then I build fixes your team can run without me.
Bachline comes from my last name. Wingenbach splits into wing and bach, and bach is German for stream. Seen from above, a stream that spreads into branching channels looks a lot like a wing. My work runs the other way: I take scattered paths and handoffs and bring them back into one clear line, so the work can flow.
